Coaches
Adults who assume volunteer roles within MCLL have the opportunity for a very rewarding experience and the league truly appreciates all of the time and effort that goes into coaching a team.
Role
As a coach, your primary task is to teach the fundamentals of baseball/softball to your players in a safe, positive and fun manner.
You would also be the main contact between the league and your players and their parents. At times we will ask for your assistance for various league functions and fundraisers which are vital to the operations of the league. We do understand that this requires additional effort on your part but without it these functions or fundraisers would not be successful.
Requirements
Each coach must undergo a background check. At least one coach from each team must attend the coaches meeting before the season begins. All coaches for each team are encouraged to attend.
Selection
Coaches are appointed by the President and confirmed by the board. Coaches will be selected based on those that will best represent the league value's in character and behavior. Coaches are not tenured or guaranteed a spot.
First time Tee-Ball?
Volunteers to manage teams in the tee-ball division require no prior coaching experience. The league will provide all equipment and resources necessary to plan practices and facilitate games.
Practice Time - Benefit of choice
Those who volunteer to Manage a team also enjoy the benefit of selecting the day of week and location of practice.
Training
Training resources are available for you.
Thanks again for all of your assistance and hard work to make both your team and MCLL successful this year!
