MCLL, Bethesda Little League, LL in AfricaCoach,, Board Advisor, Tournament Team Manager
Ray began his association with Little League Baseball nearly 57 years ago. From 1967-69, Ray played in Hamilton, Ohio's esteemed West Side Little League (5 appearances in the Little League World Series). Having relocated to the DMV from California, Ray was most pleased to learn of Bethesda Little League's formation in 2008. Ray eagerly came onboard and served as a coach in BLL from 2009-2015. The 2015 12U all star team, which he skippered, finished as MD state runner up. Since the BLL-MCLL merger in late 2015, Ray has served as an MCLL Board member and Majors coach. In 2022 and 2023, Ray was an assistant coach on MCLL 11U and 12U MD state championship teams. Supporting underserved communities and helping grow Little League in Africa has also been a longtime passion of Ray's. He has served as a mentor at the Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy since 2014. From 2017-19, Ray initiated four trips to Africa - twice each to Nigeria and Kenya - and was awarded a certificate for his work in the Nairobi Kibera Slum initiative. Relatedly, Ray has spearheaded an MCLL campaign to donate used equipment to Little League in Cameroon. Along with three other MCLL coaches, Ray in 2017 co-founded the Bethesda Blue Rays parallel travel league program, which has enhanced and contributed to the MCLL all star success. Ray loves what Little League stands for - especially its international aspect - and is proud to be a part of the MCLL team.

Jason Arnold
Jason has been volunteering with MCLL for the past 13 years, serving as a coach, Board Director, and past-President. You may not see him at the ballparks each weekend, but Jason remains heavily involved in critical maintenance work at our fields all year long. And when summer tournament games roll around each July, Jason has been a fixture around the diamonds to make MCLL’s operation go each year. Congrats to our newest #HoF honoree! Thank you Jason for your years of service to #LittleLeague!
