The MCLL Board awards players who exemplify Little League’s values of good sportsmanship.
Good sportsmanship is one of the most important aspects of playing Little League Baseball and Softball because it makes competitive play more enjoyable for everyone. These characteristics of being a good sport also apply to fans in the bleachers and coaches in the dugouts.
Being a good sport means:
Treating one another with respect and avoiding disrespectful behavior during and after the game time.
Acting fairly and ethically with both your teammates and the opponents.
Being polite and gracious to your teammates, opponents, coaches, and umpires.
Exhibiting positive behavior such as encouraging teammates, acknowledging effort, and avoiding negative talk.
These players were nominated by their coaches for consistently demonstrating positive behavior and good sportsmanship throughout the season. The winners will be announced at MCLL Day on June 13.
