Scholarship Program Policy
Montgomery County Little League (MCLL) is committed to promoting baseball and softball in our community and believes all children should have the opportunity to participate in our programs.
Montgomery County Little League (MCLL) will not deny any child a chance to play baseball or softball due to financial hardship. As such, MCLL will offer full or partial scholarships to those who qualify.
Scholarship Program Overview
Montgomery County Little League will aid parents who may need assistance with registration fees. The program will include the following:
- Full scholarships that cover all registration fees
- Partial scholarships that cover a portion of the registration fees
Scholarship Eligibility Requirements
Applications must be received by February 13th, 2020.
A parent or guardian applying for a scholarship must complete a Scholarship Request Form to explain the nature of the hardship.
Further documentation may be required to support the request.
In addition, a completed registration for the season being applied for (i.e. In Cart).
Lastly, the player must meet all residence and proof age requirements.
Once the above requirements are met, scholarship request is reviewed by Treasurer and Secretary to ensure proper due diligence.
Upon completion of said review and confirmation of team placement, full application is submitted to the Board of Directors for final approval.
If approved, credit (full or partial) is made to player’s SSU Play account.
Parent or guardian applying for a scholarship will be notified via email by Secretary upon Board decision.
Parent or guardian logs into SSU Play to complete the registration process.
